WEEK 7 Capturing Images - HDR, Colour grade and Gradient filter

Week 7

We have introduced several editing and enhancement techniques.  Your activity this week is to practice the three main techniques:

PANORAMA

Using Lightroom Classic, I created one panorama pic from these 28 photos

I gave a general treatment to the colour on the basic editor of the Lightroom, edited the sky and the bush on the HSL channel and fix few details before upload to this blog.

How you create a Panorama? Select all your photos then go to the menu and select Photo Merge > Panorama > Cylindrical

(Tick boxes on Fill edges, Auto settings and Create stack)

Color gradient

Using colour grading make the image more focused on the subject. You can darken the background, change the colour grading to make the image warmer or cooler and select an element within the image and change the hue to add emphasis or take it away.

I edited the colour values of this image from my friend Kylie at her farm feeding the lamas. You can compare the original with the final photo, where I enhanced the image (specially her skin/face/hair) highlighted other elements and make a bit darker the background

SKY

An edition from my trip to the Blue Mountains. I call this photo:
"Time flies"

Edit the sky on an image, you can again capture anew image or edit one you have already taken. Edit the sky to make it more defined.

I cropped the photo, edited the basic presets (temperature and tint for my WB, balanced the tones and the colours of the histogram and played with the saturation in the blue colour on my HSL option) Compare the original photo (below) and the final result (above)

Thanks for watching!
